Observations

One could mean: I have absolutely no place on this sort of paper boat. But that would naturally depend on how large this paper boat is – and how big the «I». The size of the boat in our case is determined by the A-4 format of the paper from which it is made. The size of the «I» depends on precisely where one is positioned at that moment. Accordingly, the boat can be far too small – or as large as an ocean leviathan, a menacing convolution. At the moment, though, everything’s in perfect order and I am utterly comfortable on board. I am also pleased that the size of the «I» is determined by its relationship to a sheet of A-4 paper. Those are relationships that make a lot possible – as made for for the journey.

Nonetheless, the success of our mission depends not just on me but also on Oscar’s «I». It is hard for me to estimate that accurately. I had better make sure that he is not standing at the wrong spot all of a sudden.
